Another set of refused pictures…

Hello -

Here is a link with the latest pictures refused (almost always for the same reasons) on SXC:

Or
flickr.com/photos/52147027@N02/5143314893

Reason -> 'We found the file "over filtered" from its original appearance/quality…'

Sad, isn't?

Obvious double standards here - I've seen and downloaded many "filtered" images here. So what if they're filtered!! Some people want filtered images. I love the colours you've achieved through your filtering techniques.

I wonder if it has something to do with the istock factor....hmmmm?

These are exactly the kind of pictures I come to SXC to download.

It probably is the istock thing -- they don't want the free photos to outshine the ones for purchase, LOL.

Otherwise why would they refuse ANY thing that isn't obscene or something

One mans meat is another mans poison. Personally I think it is outrageous that these images should be declined. Its not a competition for goodness sake.....change your policy SXC!

Out of curiosity, what type of camera/lens combination do you use?

Also, being that you posted the link I hope its ok that I us some of your images?

Thanks

Hello Graig Carl -

Yes you may use some of the picture, but please mention my name ON or AROUND the pictures you use…

NB. As camera I have a Sigma DP2 (fix lens), and I'm currently testing a Leica M9 (not mine :-( )

It looks if since Getty Images has SXC in her family refusing great pictures is more often as it use to be!
I have the same issue going on!
Several pictures of mine were refused. I'm convinced that they were accepted a half year ago!!
I made a series of Oil and vinegar (http://www.freephotos.vierdrie.nl) flasks and they were refused based on wrong key words!! Despite the high quality and work of making these pictures :-(

By the way Dimitri!
Your pictures are GREAT and if I would be the jury I accepted them!!
