The Olympus E-300. I read all the reviews. I did all my homework. I was back and forth between home and Canal Walk. I had sleepless nights. But I have her now. And she is great. It might be last year's camera, but it has all the features i could possibly need, and it's built like a tank. Great quality images and really easy to use. I know there's no DSLR that can match the Olympus E-300 for the price I paid.

I know how that feels gbosworth I remember back when I first got my baby...tho it wasnt a fully dslr cam I took it in as one"(Fuji Finepix 5200) I gave it a lot of love and had patience with it and later realized it was a bit handicap so just a week ago I decided to ordered a Canon Rebel XT....my newest addition to the family Imm sooo soo happy! and just the feel a real DSLR gives you is like no other you just feel like a great photographer even tho you havent taken many pics...heh I cant wait to get my 2 primer lens
I got so much work to do!!! I also gotta get a ZOOm lens and then Im set. tho I dont know how to use it fully. I know Im gonna have so much fun with it and it has already brought some smiles

I know how you feel, it just great.

Though personaly the quality of my pictures droped when I got my DSLR, partly as I was getting used to a new camera, and partly (I think) as I felt that now I had a decent camera I could do no wrong.

In a way having a cheap camera makes you try harder.

thanks for the comments, guys. rrss: my first camera was a Kodak Z7590, which i still have. I agree with you in that I feel that I took some great pics with the Kodak, and have yet to take even GOOD pics with the olympus. Its going to take a while before I master using the Olympus to get what I want out of an image. Take a look. basically all my photos on sxc were taken with the Kodak. Shame, the poor thing must be lonely in the cupboard...
