"Every artist has right to his own art. sol one is not charging a fee for his photography (though he could), he has made it available for the public. He just want's to know what it is being used for. If you can't be patient enough to respect the artist's wishes, look somewhere else. or take your own photos"

"I agree with sol. It's a great photo and it's reasonable to have a say in what it can or can't be used for.

Nice work."

"Your mistaken jkydesign. I do want my photos used. I just don't want my photos used for things I don't advocate. For example, a lot of my photos are used for clubbing flyers. I'd rather not have any of my photos used for that reason, so I restrict it. More of a moral issue if anything.

I don't care if you use it commercially or not. I do care if you use the photo for something I am against.

And if you're too lazy to fill out a freakin request form, than that's your problem, not mine. Now that's 'keepin it real and free.' plaaah."

"If you don't want your photo's used by others, please don't put them here.

Get rather sick of all the commercially hopeful users abusing the Stock Xchng web site!

Keep it real and free!

"OMG, Linden. I'm in awe! The tones are just so perfect. Taking an otherwise ordinary tree and turning it into this is sheer creative genius."

"I'm not too lazy to fill out the form. I took the time to air my views. If you are on a tight deadline you don't have time to wait on a response!
I've never actually received a response to my permission requests."

1. Aug 26, 2005 sol_one
"I understand your point jkydesign, but not getting a fast response is at the discretion of the owner of the photo. Personally, I have always made it a point to respond to a request on the day of the request or sooner. I go on this site about 4-8 times a day just to check up. So basically, yes I agree with you, if you're gonna put a request restriction on a photo, then you better well respond asap. But then again, I understand that some clients only give you a night to do something so it's hard to get a reply in such limited time. That's just life, and people, including me, have to live with it."
