"This actually does not symbolize peace, but rather the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is often depicted as a dove in response to the gospel according to Luke where Jesus was baptized and John the Baptist saw the Holy Spirit descend on Jesus "in bodily form like a dove". : )"
