DESCRIPTION
The housing area Nyboder, Copenhagen was established from 1631 by King Christian IV of Denmark and Norway as a living area for the sailors of the Danish Navy. 200 houses was build. Even today only members of the Danish armed forces and their families live in Nyboder. In front of Nyboder is the Admiral Edouard Suenson memorial. The admiral headed the danish navy in the battle of Helgoland May 9th 1864.
