DESCRIPTION
Pokeweed, also called pokeberry,poke sallat, is a perennial herb that is native to North America it can grow up to 10 feet tall and has thick stems that turn reddish purple. The plant bears fruit that turns dark purple. Although the plant is poisonous when raw the young leaves are consumed by some who know how to prepare the plant.
