A ship's anchor abandoned many years ago on the shoreline close to the original Lytham Lifeboat House which is now a museum. The new, modern lifeboat house is some 3 miles further up the shore on the Ribble Estuary at St Annes, Lancashire, North West England. This area was the site of RNLI's biggest disaster in 1886 when the German Barque (Mexico) was wrecked in heavy seas off Southport. Anchor Rusty Beach Anchor
