Pacer - Manchester Piccadilly free photo download

Description:
A class 141 'pacer' diesel unit rests between journey's at Manchester's Piccadilly station June 2005. | | For the train buffs | These are the oldest of the four wheeled 'pacer' series railbuses in use in Britain. They were introduced in in the early 1980's and dispite being very unpopular with the travelling public a few are still in use on suburban services around the Manchester and Liverpool areas. They are different from the 143/4 series units pictured elsewhere in this folder in as much as they still retain the bus style seating and interior layout, a less efficient suspension and an 'uglier' front end. | | (For terms of usage please see my profile)
