An old beggar at the bus station near my home. | I think he is blind, and the most tragically there was a young man (strong & healthy) nearby look after him. When this old man seemed felt the sun is too hot for him, he waved to that young man and then the young man lifted and moved him to to another place which more mild, but still to beg... I can not imagine if that young man is this old man's child people human snap The Old Beggar
The title refers to both his and my missed opportunities. I think this has some interesting elements but it is a quarter size crop of a grabbed shot from a distance ( I only have a 50mm lens at the moment). If I had been less self-conscious I would have asked the guy if he minded me taking a series of shots and I feel I could have got a better picture that tells the story more effectively. | As it is I would hope that the picture encourages the viewer to think about the missed opportunites in this guy's life journey that have rendered him homeless on the streets of London. The dark tunnel to his right may represent a possible bleak future. Alternatively I feel his white dog represents a symbol of hope ( a poor man's white dove?). Let me know what you think beggar homelessness street Missed opportunities
