A shot from my front door over the city of Bristol on a dull, wet and smoggy day. I have recently become intrested in gritty grainy photos, the sort of image that came out of the UK 'Mass Observation' movement of the 1920, this is and early attempt. | | (For terms of use please see my profile) Bristol England grainy Dirty Old Town

I've recently become intrested in the grainy realism of the British 'Mass Observation' style of photography typical of the 1920's. To this end I have been shooting on film stock that has been left to age for about a year before use to bring out the grain. Then the pictures have been greyscaled and had their contrast adjusted on my PC. The subjects are not posed in anyway to try and get a natural feel to the image. | | Lorna is a film maker and a local arts co-ordinator. | | (For terms of use please see my profile) lorna friend natural Lorna
